The Hammersmith Hospitals works in partnership with the Wolfson and Weston Research Centre for Family Health at Imperial College London. These strong links between scientific enquiry and delivery of care to patients have been recognised and endorsed by Research Councils and major charities who maintain research centres and research programmes with the Trust and our academic partners. The MRC, ARC and ICRF are particularly significant investors.

Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital works in partnership with the Wolfson and Weston Research Centre for Family Health at Imperial College London with strong links of translating research directly to the patient’s bedside.
The Centre for Foetal Care is located at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital and is a well-established unit of international standing. It is also the largest centre for research in obstetrics and gynaecology in Europe.
Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital is a renowned centre of midwifery and obstetric excellence and has recently been awarded the 2005 National Childbirth Trust’s Better Birth E nvironment Award, and it is also recognised as the national centre for female adolescents and adults with congenital abnormalities of the genital tract.
