Better health for women and babies
Women for Women is committed to improving serious conditions that can affect women and their babies.
Together we can work to improve women’s health and ensure that as many women as possible have healthy pregnancies and thriving babies.
With up to 250 babies dying every week in the UK as a result of complications during pregnancy, our work has never been so essential for women and their babies.
“Funds raised by Women for Women will support that which we all hold most dear – the birth of a healthy baby – investing in our family’s health. This vital medical research will to some extent affect every man, woman and child in this country.”
Professor Robert Winston Chairman of Women for Women and the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Trust

When the most natural thing in the world goes wrong
We strive to prevent the suffering and preserve the health of families who face devastating problems including cancer, premature birth, brain injury, miscarriage and infertility.
We work with the largest dedicated team of doctors and scientists in Britain to improve the health of women and their babies.
We train women scientists and clinicians to work on research into conditions affecting women and their babies – empowering more women to lead in this field.
The Wolfson and Weston Research Centre for Family Health at the Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital site of Imperial College London is unequalled in Europe. It’s from this centre of excellence, that we conduct innovative research alongside internationally renowned training programmes to assure the ongoing good health of women and their babies.
